Written by Rosen Mooralian
- Financial situation: Before taking a divorce, one should consider his/ her financial condition so as to make sure how their life would be after taking divorce. It is not easy to lead a life alone and therefore it is necessary to make sure that one does not become miserable after divorce.
- Earning capability: Another thing to consider before divorce is to check ones earning capability. This is one of the major facts that should be kept in mind so as to start life anew after divorce.
- Children:When children are involved in a divorce, it becomes the responsibility of the parent to take the a decision considering all the aspects pertaining to child care. The news of divorce should be given to the children in a way that it does not hurt them as it might mark a drastic change in their lives. They might feel hurt and lonely which sooner or later shows in their attitude. The child custody should be decided by the couple by themselves so that the final decision is not taken by the judge. Single parenting is tough and the couple should make sure that they are able to take care of the children single handedly.
- Remarriage: After the end of the marriage, remarriage can be considered as that can be helpful in the future life of the partners. Remarriage is also a way of moving on and starting life anew.
- Spouse's income: The partners should make sure that they have an idea about the income of their spouse so that they calculate the amount that they are liable to get after divorce. Also, it is necessary to evaluate all the assets that they both have for the division of assets to take place without any hassles.
- Things that they owe:Both the partners should make sure that they have evaluated the amount that they both owe to each other so that it becomes easier for them to part ways without any type of interruptions from the ex partner in future. It is better to sort out all the financial matters before getting divorced for both the parties to begin a new life.
- Financial documents: A copy of all the financial documents should be kept with you so that in case any problem arises during the process of divorce, can be handled properly. These documents also come very handy to be presented in the court as and when required.
