This is a helix national Park that covers a huge amount of area, filled with hiking trails and exploration. If you are looking for a leisurely walk, there are a number of paths that stay along the lake that are quite safe, and easy to hike. If you are looking for a little more adventure, there are a number of more advanced hiking paths that you can venture down.

The town of Windermere itself is a charming location that has a lot of enjoyable recreational activities. Not only are there the cruisers that are around the lakes, but you can also enjoy the various museums in history. Founded in 1850, the town has a long history behind it, including playing an integral part in the railways being built around 1850. Although it is not the small-town it was back then, today Windermere is filled with cafés, bars, and is known for a plethora of excellent restaurants that make it easy for you to find a great place to eat during your stay in when you are.
