Without getting too specific just yet, there art museums, tours, wonderful hotels to visit. There are attractions galore, even whale watching. That's an attraction, isn't it? Magic Mountain, Disneyland, Hollywood, the City Center, these are also great places to visit. California is a place where you can find attractions in any city or county, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, and, of course, Hollywood again. Ever notice that all of these are in Southern California. South California is the mecca of things to do. Can I count the top 100 things to do in LA, not really but lets talk about a few of these. I was raised in Long Beach, located towards the southern edge of Los Angeles County. Long Beach itself is an attraction. Beautiful beaches, which is art in itself adorn the coast. Whale watching is very popular not just in Long Beach but also further off the coast in Northern California. Long Beach has museums and amusement parks. You could do a top 100 things to do in Long Beach alone. Whatever city or county you plan to visit always map directions, because even though there are great attractions to see, you could get yourself killed by driving down the wrong streets. Check the reviews out in each city too. Not far from Long Beach, another one of the many things to do in LA, although it's not LA, is to visit Orange County. Orange County is the home of Disneyland. Disneyland is one of the many top attractions to see in the world let alone Orange County and I used to live no more than 15 minutes from there. The world travels to Orange County because of the events, hotels and tours. Not to far from Disneyland is any attraction type you wished to see. Hollywood is another fantastic place. Besides being the moving making capital of the world it's filled with hotels for the wealthy. These hotels are great to visit because they give off the appearance of being made of every precious metal on earth. You can find reviews of every attraction and event put on by these hotels. There are even reviews of reviews, all naming the top 100 things to do in LA. About an hours drive from Los Angeles County you can find another popular attraction type. Way out in the desert is Magic Mountain. Again, don't head out there unless you map out directions. I call Magic Mountain the Disneyland for adults. The rides and attractions are not for the week of stomach, but that's the beauty of it. Even though it's not located in LA, Magic Mountain is definitely one of the top things to do in LA. Do not travel out to this location without being well hydrated. Many people don't realize that California is a desert and Magic Mountain gets extremely hot. In fact, the heat dissuades many tourists from visiting here. I love Southern California for all the things to do in LA and surrounding areas. The one thing I hate is traffic. Most of your traveling hours will be faced with the brutal downtown traffic. It's not just downtown, it's everywhere. Los Angeles County is the worst. Take a cab or have someone else drive.
