Android Nougat 7.0 is the latest version of Android OS released by Google in the month of August 2016. Likewise the previous versions of Android OS, Nougat 7.0 has also come up with some interesting features. And, these interesting features will be very helpful for all the developers working in an Android app development company. Since its inception, Android has been ruling the mobile application market. It appears carrying simple yet attractive user-interface.

Android Nougat 7.0 can be considered as a refined version of Marshmallow, but it has some essential and attractive features to that of the previous version. It is the Google’s way of refinement. When compared to Marshmallow, Nougat 7.0 will not be going to change the look and feel of your smartphone, but it will add some interesting functionalities to your Android smartphone.

Let’s have a look at the newly added functionalities of Android Nougat 7.0 and how it is helpful for top app developers.

Split-Screen Mode: Split-screen functionality is the most attractive feature that Google has introduced with Android Nougat 7.0. Now, a user can work on two different applications on a single screen. A user need not to toggle between multiple applications back and forth. However, this is not the first time when Android users are experiencing this, as OEMs of Android smartphone have already provided this feature their devices.

Now, how to use split-screen mode? The Split-Screen mode works in, both, portrait and landscape modes. When a user opens an app, he can simultaneously access another app also. While accessing one app, just press and hold the overview button at the bottom right of mobile’s screen and it allows you to choose from other apps to add to the screen. However, all applications do not support split-screen mode yet, but most apps do.

Revamped Notifications: In Android Nougat 7.0, Google has added this new interesting feature that makes Android more user-friendly. Google has given an entirely new look and feel to the notifications. With the help of this feature, a user will now be able to reply back directly from the notification. Pull down the notification tray, tap on the notification and do a direct reply rather than completely opening the app.

This newly added feature has made the Messenger and Hangouts more accessible directly from the notification tray. Though, whenever a user wants to quickly get into the app, he can still tap the notification and check other messages, emails or notifications.

Quick System Updates: Do you want to update your Android smartphone or tablet? Well, with Android Nougat 7.0 you won’t have to do anything. Android Nougat 7.0 has made the system updates run faster than before. It optimizes the apps for updates more often and quickly. It also takes less time in installation and update of any file. This feature will prove to be really helpful for Android mobile developers and Android smartphone users.

Use Less Mobile Data:Android smartphones have some serious issues with the apps running in the background. The apps running in background drain all the mobile data really quickly. Android Nougat 7.0 has come up with new Data Saver feature. It allows a user to block background random data usage and allows users to restrict things unless connected to WiFi. Eventually, it helps a user in saving his precious mobile data from being wasted.

Better Battery Life:This is the first time when Google has introduced a new feature that helps saving mobile’s battery life. The feature is named as “Doze”, which was initially introduced in Marshmallow. It helps you in saving mobile’s battery life when the screen was off and the phone was not moving. While in Android Nougat 7.0, Google has revamped the Doze feature a bit. The Doze starts up when your mobile’s screen goes off and keep on running when the phone is in moving state. This feature is already active with Android Nougat 7.0.

Enhanced Security:With the introduction of Android Nougat 7.0, Google has released new security features for Android smartphone users. To make things more secure, the user first need to sign in using the password and pin. Until you sign in, the apps will be working partially. The sign in feature will not change any settings in your smartphone, but rather provides more security to your personal and important data. After signing in, all the apps will work normally. There are no sudden changes in the functionality of any app. This new feature provides better interaction between the user and his smartphone.

Android Nougat 7.0 has given a lot many options to the Android users and similarly, many more opportunities for top mobile app developers.
