Why Toll Free Numbers Are the Best Choice for Your Business

Every business owner, no matter the size of their operation, has to make numerous choices every day. One of the most important choices is how customers can get in contact with the company for orders, information, customer service, etc. Choosing a toll free number is one of the best decisions a business owner can make.

Ease of Accessr
When choosing to call a company for any reason, a customer or potential customer will take into account the cost to them, in both time and money. Calling toll free numbers gives customers the peace of mind of knowing that they can spend as much time on the call as necessary – with no cost to them. They won’t feel rushed or pressured, which allows for a more pleasant and informative call, and increases the chances that the customer will choose to do business with the company.

Easy to Rememberr
One of the greatest advantages of toll free numbers is the ability to get a vanity number. These numbers spell out a word or phrase that reminds the customer of the company and corresponds to the numbers on the phone. They are very easy to remember as opposed to an all-numeric phone number and increase customer call-ins exponentially. Vanity numbers sometimes cost a bit more than standard toll free numbers, but they pay for themselves in the long run.

Increases Credibilityr
Customers associate a toll free number with established, reputable businesses. Having only a local number may cause a customer to be wary or hesitant to call, opting instead for a competitor that does have a toll free number. Perception is extremely important in business, and a toll free number will enhance the customer’s perception of the company as being legitimate, while providing the added motivation of a free call.

Cost-Effectiver
Compared with a regular local phone number, a toll free number is usually significantly cheaper per minute. Also, features such as voicemail, call screening, and call forwarding are included for free, whereas some regular phone companies charge for those features. Being able to forward a call to any other phone – such as a cell phone or even a pager – without incurring additional costs is a definite advantage of a toll free number.

Ownershipr
Once a company has purchased a toll free number, it remains the property of that company even in the event of a physical move or a switch of phone providers. Never having to issue new business cards or email clients with a new phone number is a huge time-saver for a company, and another advantage of having a toll free number. Companies can also sell their toll free numbers in the event they go out of business or just choose to find another number.

Even in today’s electronic world, customers prefer to be able to call a company directly rather than having to rely on email or other indirect communications. A toll free number provides that convenience, as well as giving the customer peace of mind that they are contacting a reputable company at no cost to them.

The Quiet Engine Behind Every Connection Most people think of telecom services as towers, signals, and mobile data moving invisibly through the air. Yet behind every call that connects and every message that reaches its destination, there is another system quietly working in the background. That system is the call center. While customers often interact with telecom companies only when something goes wrong, these centers operate constantly, guiding problems toward solutions an
