Top Body Parts That Plastic Surgery Can Totally Revamp
Written by Mark Schwartz
If you have plans for reconstructive or cosmetic plastic surgery, it is very important that your doctor is a skilled, qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. A minimum of five years of experience of performing various plastic surgeries make a surgeon uniquely accomplished to perform the procedures.
There are a number of procedures that can revamp the body and face. In recent years we’ve seen that men are just as interested in their appearance as women—although it is possible and probable that they are motivated by different factors than their female counterparts seeking plastic surgery. Cosmetic surgery can be a huge undertaking but most often patients rate it as “worth the money and the discomfort.” The most common surgeries include:
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation including reduction, lifts, reconstruction or implants tops the list of the most common cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. Breast processes have seen a significant rise in cases during the past few years. While it is mostly women who are having breast augmentation surgeries it is not uncommon for men to address gynecomastia (enlarged male breast tissue) with breast reduction surgery. Both saline and silicone gel implants are commonly used according to patient’s preference and the doctor’s observations. In breast reduction and shaping process, excess fat and cells are surgically removed while silicone or saline gel is introduced into the implants for breast augmentation.
Tummy Tuck Surgery and Liposuction
Two of the most widely performed procedures to achieve a slender stomach are liposuction, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). Liposuction involves minimum incisions where the excess fat is removed through a vacuum-like machine to shape up the abdomen; whereas, in the process of tummy tuck, abdominal muscles are tightened for flatter tummy after removal of extra fat cells and tissues. Abdominoplasty surgery involves bigger incisions from one hip to the other.
Facelift Surgery
Facelift surgery helps to provide patients with a younger, tighter face. Excess fat is surgically removed and skin is carefully pulled up around the neck and face. The facelift procedure can offer remarkable improvement for sagging facial skin, loose neck skin, and jowls. Other types of the procedure may also include a forehead lift, facial injections such as BoTox, and lip augmentation to address wrinkles and sagging.
Eyes
Eyelid lift surgery is performed to remove extra fat cells and muscles from upper and lower eyelids to correct droopy eyelids and a brow lift to uplift eye brows.
