All of my education, training and experience has been put to the test this last month.

Intellectually and rationally I know that it takes time for the brain to heal with a traumatic brain injury but when she slows and sinks into these dark depressions it is so difficult to stay afloat sometimes. She said she was on her way to the farm to cook me dinner and sit with me. She spent the day and it was a pure miracle how much she lifted my soul. We ate, laughed and remembered our 25 year friendship. What a savior from the darkness.

If you know someone struggling, please send a card, email, a call, or take a meal. You may just save someone’s life.
