Phuket City and its Attractions
Phuket city is often overlooked for its beaches and visitors are under the impression that the city has nothing more. On the contrary, it’s a bustling city with a lot to see and enjoy. The butterfly garden in Soi Paneung holds exhibitions giving information about insects. The outdoor garden being a free-fly zone is filled with butterflies on a bright day. Old Phuket has charming century old architecture showing the Portuguese and British influence. The ‘Thai Hua Museum’ is a well-maintained Sino-Portuguese building. The old town has numerous shop houses, public and private museums, quaint cafes, colonial mansions and printing shops. The magnificent sitting Buddha in golden has become a spiritual centre. Since most of the people follow Buddhism, there are numerous Buddhist temples all over Thailand.Phuket Beach Resorts
Phuket in Thailand is renowned for its beautiful beaches as well as the resorts adjoining them. ‘Moevenpick Resort Bango’ is on the coast of Bangtao Bay. This exquisite beachfront resort has 40 luxurious rooms which provide excellent ocean views of the sea and the pristine beach. The ‘Dusit Laguna’ is another beach resort on the same beach having 226 rooms and all resort amenities such as swimming pool, fitness and recreation centres, tennis courts, and spa and water sports. An 18-hole course for golf is another attraction. Overlooking the Siray Bay is the ‘Westin Resort and Spa’ which has a perfect setting to unwind. This luxurious 259-room resort provides superb ocean and beach views. There are numerous other beach resorts which are ideal spots for tourists who love the beach.
