The temple dates back to 18th century and is a popular tourist attraction. Having a Kalash, it is a pointed dome of about 12 feet high Gabhara (sanctum sanctorum) which is gold plated. Thus, it enables the 'Darshan' of Sri Siddhivinayak from any area surrounding the Sabha Mandap (a stage to conduct pujas and related festivities).
