If the condition of asthma become severe then it is termed as asthma attack. Asthma attack can be defined as a condition when the muscles along the bronchial tubes contracts. The air passage gets constricted resulting in less air flow. It further increases the inflammation that causes swelling in the air passage. Due to lack of air the cells in the air passage start producing more mucus, which further constricts the air passage. There are number of factor that contribute to asthma like allergens, humidity, stress, exercise, some medicine and pollution.

Primary symptoms of asthma include: shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness and cough. You seek emergency treatment if you have any of these symptoms
1) Extreme difficulty in breathing
2) If stopping breathing
3) Rapid pulse
4) Decreased level of conciousness
5) Sweating in excess

Entocort is one of the medicine used for the treatment of asthma and it is also approved by Food and Drug Administration. Entocort is a prescription medicine and it considered to be the best, most trusted and recommended by the doctor or health care professional.

Entocort is an anti inflammatory steroid like compound which is used to treat allergies, inflammation of the nose, asthma, inflammation of the colon, Crohn's disease. Entocort is available in the form of capsules, inhalation powder, suspension and nasal spray. The main ingredient of Entocort medicine is Budesonide.

Few precautions needs to be taken before taking Entocort medicine to avoid any side effect.
1) Do not use Entocort medicine if you are allergic to this medicine or to its ingredient.
2) People making use of Entocort medication should avoid contact or nearness with people suffering from any kind of infection or disease.
3) This medication should be used cautiously in patients using other corticosteroids concurrently.
4) It should not be given to children below the age of 6 years.
5) Entocort medicine should not be used by people who are suffering from liver disease, bones problem, eye infection, fungal infection, bacterial infection, TB and viral infection.
6) Pregnant and breastfeeding mother should not use this medicine without consulting doctor as use of this medicine by pregnant and breastfeeding mother may harm the health of unborn baby or nursed child.

Before taking this medicine you should inform your doctor if you are taking any prescription, non prescription and herbal medicine to avoid any drug interaction. The recommended dosage of this medicine is 9 mg everyday. Do not increases the dose of the medicine on your own as it may lead to serious side effect. As it is a prescription medicine so it should be taken as prescribed by the doctor.

Take this medicine with a full glass of water with or without food. The capsules should be swallowed as a whole and should not be broken or chewed. Bronchodilators should not be used concurrently and there should be a gap of at least 15 minutes between the two. Try to take the medicine at the same time each day. Do not miss your dose for better result, but if in case you miss your dose take this medicine as soon as you remember. If it the time for next dose avoid taking missed dose amd continue with your medicine schedule. Entocort medicine should be kept at cold place away from light, heat and moisture. Keep all medicines away from the reach of the children and pet.
