Hey y’all, hopefully everybody is having a great weekend. In this entry, I want to talk about tricep training. Many times, clients will ask me how to increase the size of their arms. Typically they’ll be training biceps all day in order to try to gain size and strength within the upper arm. However, I’m always quick to remind them that the triceps make up a larger part of the arm than the bicep so tricep training is very important. Let’s take a look. When training the triceps, it is very important to maintain strict form. Reason being, tricep training does put a large load on the elbow, which many times will cause tendinitis. Make sure you warm up properly and thoroughly before you begin your triceps training. Maybe work with a personal trainer to learn stretching techniques. While training the triceps, especially in regards to press downs, make sure to keep your elbows locked in by your side. Too many times clients will let their elbow swing up high thus utilizing the shoulders to press the weight down. Perform the exercise nice and slow and make sure you squeeze and get a good contraction on the bottom. Excellent exercises for triceps include close-grip bench press, close-grip push-ups, tricep press downs, dumbbell extensions, as well as various others. Again, make sure to use proper form and warm up properly. I hope this entry helps, now go get em’!

Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off. For many, this is why exercise has always been more than fitness; it’s therapy through motion. But not all movement heals. Some styles exhaust, others distract. True healing often begins in the slow, intentional kind, the kind that lets the body lead and the mind follow.rnThat’s where precision-based training, such as re
