It was one more annual function in my school and I was an active participant of the debate programme. This time the topic was ‘Tuition teachers Vs School teachers’ which I found a little complicated. The complication occurred because I myself was taking private tuitions, though I never liked it. Well, the present scenario says, parents are more inclined to send their children private tuitions than the students. When I asked parents they said, since children need to give more and more time to their studies and as parents cannot always provide time to help their children with their studies, They also said, schools do not teach properly to the students and moreover, it is not possible for the school teachers to keep a watch over every student’s performance. When asked to school teachers, they replied, private tuitions are mere waste of time. What the students are taught in schools is more than enough to go into the depth of the subjects.

Moreover, students cannot concentrate in the class because what they are taught in the class and what they attain in tuition classes clash with each other. After asking the same question to some of the private tutors, I got the response that School teachers do not take proper care of each of the students. And, there are many students who hesitate to raise a question in front of the entire class. For that category of students, many questions remain unclear. Whereas, in private tuition classes they are able to clarify their queries freely without any hesitation as the numbers of students is less in tuition classes as compared to classes in schools.

Though, the central government has banned the practice of tuition classes in India. For example, states like Tripura has prohibited private tuitions by school teachers in April 2011. Thus, it can easily be figured out that tuition classes do not do anything good, but disobey some government norms which is happened to be illegal.
