For some time now, I've been using various tools in Twitter marketing alongside with programs in order to make money on Twitter. Among those are Tweet Adder, Sponsored Tweets, Twiends and MyLikes. Inherently, I've decided to offer my experience with these software programs to make suggestions and offer assistance to help your success. There are a few things that should be well thought out, especially if you've employed Tweet Adder. Tweet Adder can be automated to unfollow users who have followed you back after a set interval of time. If someone is not a frequent Tweeter, then you don't want them to follow you anyways. I'd speculate 2-3 days is a reasonable amount of time to provide for reciprocation. Also, before you start using Tweet Adder make sure you have a fair amount of regular tweets otherwise people will misconstrue you as a spammer. In the first few days of using Twitter, you can add up to a thousand members a day, but I suggest adding about 200 per day to your follower count until you arrive at 2000. By the time you reach this target you should have at least 1300 followers. Continue unfollowing and following until you break through the 2000 follower boundary. Once you do this, it should be a breeze to get more Twitter followers. All of these acts can be accomplished with Tweet Adder. Use your other marketing instruments gradually around this point. This may seem uninteresting but in order to have a profitable Twitter marketing program, you need to make sure you in fact have a Twitter account and anything beyond this may appear as a potential threat to Twitter and your account will be suspended. After you've reached around 5000 followers, you can start following more people. Twitter lets you to follow 110% of the value of users following you after you've followed 2000 people or 150% before you've followed 2000 people. So if you have 5000 followers, the most you can follow in return is 5500 total. There is also a day-to-day follow limit of 1000 follows, but this amount is unreasonable. Once you've gotten to this point, a fair deal of time has gone by and you can start to finally make some income. You can sign up for Sponsored Tweets and MyLikes. Sponsored Tweets will guide advertisers to you that will compensate you for a tweet and MyLikes will simply allow you to tweet links from their site and get paid per click to whatever it is that you happen to be promoting. Lastly, another outstanding way to gain followers is by using a website called Twiends. Twiends functions on a credit structure where you can make credits by following other people or liking a facebook page, and in turn expend them to have other people follow you. There is also an option to buy credits but unless you don't want to ever follow anyone I don't recommend that just yet. You can get plenty of credits daily simply by following others and I frequently have credits in my account from that for 2-3 days at a time. Visit here for more information on Twitter marketing

About the Author

I'm a metaphorically small author and self proclaimed genius when it comes to things like social networks, marketing and technology in general. I never met a computer I didn't like, besides a Compaq that was 11 years old and had 28MB of RAM.

I'm an avid Apple user, but know a substantial amount about Mac and Windows platforms and always enjoy a challenge. Right now the challenge I face is to make enough money online to quit my day job and make a comfortable living.

I've been doing graphic design for 11 years and web design for 3 years. I'm not exactly a pro but I make do.

I am the owner of a few websites including techley.com which a technology blog, davidkalthoff.com which is currently reserved for future use and tintof.com which is a highly challenging riddle site in which each page requires the answer to the riddle to be typed into the URL bar. Only the home page is indexed, but hints can be found for each riddle via a Google search bar.

My philosophy: there is no life without challenges. The obstacles we face make our path to success. It's our choice whether to overcome or avoid those obstacles.
