Two Steps To Dicovering Who You Are & Creating Wealth being you
Written by Rosemary Nonny Knight
Lots of people go through life not knowing who or what they are about. They chase after goals because others have told them that that is what they should want and they get to their goal but find that it is not as great as it is cracked up to be.
And so they go off and start chasing after something else because again, they have been informed that this is what you must do.
Are you a little like this?
Are you so capable that you hit all the goals but then you get there to discover you don’t really want it?
Wouldn’t it be better to figure yourself out a little more so you can create wealth being you?
Being a capable person, you are probably someone who thinks that other people who spend time on inner growth are just time-wasters but you fail to see that there is an emptiness inside of you that can only be filled by you coming into contact with yourself.
Here are two steps to discover who you are and create wealth being you.
1. Get a journal
Deliberately choose to spend some times each day in silence, writing out what ever comes to mind. There is a strategy known as ‘morning pages’ where you write continuously for three pages. You do not have to write about anything in particular – it is simply writing whatever comes to mind. There are to be no judgments when writing. YOU just write.
After the writing, then you can read through. You might be surprised at the hidden depths within you.
Another way to tap into yourself is to use a site called 750 words and just type as fast as you can 750 words. It is the same principle as ‘morning pages’ – Let it all out. Lots of capable, yet unhappy people spend a lot of time avoiding the issues of their life. It seems easier not to think about anything and yet, that is living at a base level.
Choose to level up
2. Tap into your purpose
Running around doing things for everyone and never taking the time to think through what you want to do, is a recipe for disaster and also for getting to the end and realizing that you never followed through on things that are important to you.
Instead, start learning to say ‘no’ or buy some time before you commit to doing things for other people. Instead, tap into your own purpose. What brings you joy? What do you want to make happen in your lifetime? Is this request going to get you there? Yes? Then do it. No? then give your excuses.
This only becomes feasible when you start to discover what you are here to do. You are a capable person and so people do rely on you to get the job done but in all that doing, who are you being?
Do you know?
And if not, you have to deliberately choose to figure yourself out because most other people are looking at you and thinking you must have it altogether. YOU are the only one who knows the reality of your situation and if you are ready to live a more fulfilling and wealthy life then you are going to have to take the reins of your life back.
