University Grant Commission (UGC) has decided that the qualification of Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS) and Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) will now be considered equivalent to Post Graduation (PG) Degree for appearing in the UGC NET exam. In its official circular dated March 15, 2021, the UGC stated that it took this decision after receiving requests from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Companies Secretaries of India and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
