Upcoming Class - The Nourished Body
Written by Lisa Markham
Put Down the Diet Books!
It’s time to tune into the true authority on health and balanced eating: Your Own Body!
Welcome to The Nourished Body 7 week evening class.
To start, I want to share a quote:
There are two kinds of intelligence:
One acquired, as a child in school memorizes facts and concepts from books and from what the teacher says, collecting information from the traditional sciences as well as from the new sciences.
With such intelligence you rise in the world.
You get ranked ahead or behind others in regard to your competence in retaining information.
You stroll with this intelligence in and out of fields of knowledge, getting always more marks on your preserving tablets.
There is another kind of tablet, one already completed and preserved inside you.
A spring overflowing its springbox.
A freshness in the centre of the chest.
This other intelligence does not turn yellow or stagnate.
It’s fluid, and it doesn’t move from outside to inside through conduits of plumbing-learning.
This second knowing is a fountainhead from within you, moving out.
From The Essential Rumi, page 178. Translated by Coleman Barks
THE NOURISHED BODY is a 7 week class that will help you develop this second kind of intelligence. Because it is through this second kind of intelligence that can brake you out of the insanity of dieting, body image struggles, the inconsistencies with your way of eating, and open you to a new possibility ~ a way of eating and relating to food and your body that is filled with internal wisdom, self respect and self care.
This class is for those of you that know that diets don’t work and you want to learn a new method for relating to your food and your body, for health and vitality. This class is designed for those of you that are interested in weight management, balanced eating, have IBS and other forms of dis-ease and/or going through transition and change in your live – and find you often eat to cope. It’s a profound (yet gentle) class and will rock your world into a deeper state of pronounced health and well-being.
