Use Natural Home Remedies to Get Rid of Sciatica

Sciatica is a severe disease of our nervous system, being a neurotic state of sciatica nerve. Persons that suffer from sciatica experience acute pain of the back, legs and feet. This disease is a pain that arises from sciatic nerve and it is caused by a certain pressure on this nerve.

The persons that suffer from this disease feel foot pain, pain in the low back or in the buttock. They can hardly move their legs or feet and accuse loss of the leg or foot muscles power.

Any injury to the spine can cause sciatica because the sciatica nerve is compressed at its roots. An infection or a toxic material near the nerve can lead to sciatica, too. But most of the problems are created by a ruptured disk or by the osteo-arthritis of lower spine. But there are other causes like tumor of the pelvis, pregnancy, exposure to a damp or cold climate, deformities of lower spine, prolonged sitting or standing that lead to this disease.

1. An ice pack applied on painful muscles offers an immediate relief. The ice "forces" the muscles to get numb and release the muscles in spasm.

2. Sciatica can be treated with garlic milk. The garlic can be cooked or not but consider the fact that the uncooked garlic has more powerful effects. To prepare this milk you have only to add the pulp of crushed garlic in buffalo milk. The buffalo milk must not be cooked. Add 4 cloves at 100 milli liters of milk. You can also boil the garlic milk but the effect is less.

3. Mix mustard oil with crushed garlic and pounded seeds of omum and you will obtain another helpful remedy. Take abut 4 tbsp of mustard oil and heat Take 2 or 3 cloves of fresh crushed garlic and a spoon of pounded seeds of mum and fry them. Mix all the ingredients and let them cool for a while. Filter the solution and start to massage the painful areas with it.

4. Lemon is a very helpful remedy for sciatica. The regularly consume of lemon juice prevents the deposits of uric acid in your tissues.

5. Nutmeg can be very beneficial when it comes about sciatica. Take a nutmeg and powder and fire it coarsely in ginger oil till all the particles are brown. Apply the solution on the painful parts.

6. Another great remedy consists in a juice made from celery leaves and potatoes. Drink at least 10 grams a day. The relief will be felt soon enough.

7. It is known that elderberry has the property to relax and stimulate the muscles. So, elderberry juice or elderberry tea is a very beneficial remedy for your sciatica.

8. Liver, spinach, pinto beans, green peas, soybeans, breads, nuts, pork and beef, bananas

9. And whole grain cereals are rich sources of Thiamine and Vitamin B1. Consequently the persons that suffer from sciatica should introduce them in their daily diet.

10. Horseradish poultice is another exceptional remedy. Apply the poultice on the painful parts of your body and keep it for an hour and more. This remedy has the property to stimulate the sciatica nerve and offers a great relied from pain.
