Using Facebook To Market Online - Aspects You Should Know About, But Probably Don’t

As the worlds fastest growing social network, facebook now is one of the tools used by internet marketer to promote their products.

To success with facebook, we need to have strategies and some process.

BUT before that, there are some aspects that we must know and aware of!! Why? Because facebook is a social network, not design for marketers. So it's very important that we are playing with their rules, then you will see the result.

Firstly, all your business related issues or update should be posted in you Fan Page instead of your personal profile. Fact is, fan page is the business side of facebook and your account will be closed if you marketing your products in personal profile!

Fan page allows you to sell products directly but you can't do so in your personal profile!! This is the rule and we need to follows.

So the first thing you need to do is create a fan page.

Here's a little tips for you, you can create an exclusive "Welcome" page. With opt in form or video, you can grab somebody details immediately before they even click LIKE! This is how powerful a welcome page is.

The next thing you need to be alert of is the name of your fan page. Facebook can ban your fan page and take away your publishing rights just because of the page's name!! Let me share a secret with you, facebook DO NOT LIKE GENERIC NAME, in fact you can have your account close if you have generic sounding page.

Here's what I mean, lots of people on facebook has started create fan page based on an existing brand, eg apple, microsoft, etc. These people will build their like, as marketers will use this like to increase the amount of interest in their page to promote affiliate products, pretending they got something to do with the main brand. But facebook don't allow that to be happen!!

Result is, you will get a message from facebook saying: facebook have taken away your publishing rights due to violation on term of use.

It will be awful to lost your publishing rights just because not naming your page correctly. A great way to avoid it is using your name and niche to name your page, so it's specific to you.

Or if you have existing company or brand, name it that way and you can tell facebook it's as an extension of your brand as page on facebook. Good news is, it'll only raise red flags to facebook about your page when you have over 10 thousands of fans.

In short, facebook want to make sure every page you create is your own content and you are not acting on behalf of apple etc..

You must be aware also that you don't have much opportunities to rename your page's name. Know this: you can only edit or change if you have less than 100 people like your page. So it is very important you choose your page name carefully.

One more important point is, to get massive traffic from facebook, make sure 2 things in particular are as strong as possible:

1st the name of your page. As that is what compel people to click on your page.

2nd the picture next to your page's name.
