A uterine polyp is a small, benign formation that develops in the uterine cavity. There are a few uterine polyps’ symptoms. These can sometimes lead to bleeding between periods, but it is not abundant. There is usually no pain. Treatment with an oral contraceptive can make it possible to reduce its size, otherwise the treatment is surgical by hysteroscopy: a small camera is introduced into the uterine cavity to visualize the polyp and perform its excision.
