Utility of school ties

Brendan Eraser plays the leading role in the film as David greener who is a Jewish school student who is transferred from a public school of Pennsylvania to a prep school of New England where he is awarded with athletic scholarship. School Ties are a film where it shows the coming of prejudice and age. Here David Greene’s heritage is insulted very badly outside in a hangout of the outside of hometown. He then challenges that bigoted biker who insulted Greene which leads to fight between that bigoted biker and David Greene. In this fight Greene beats that biker. After this fight his father told him that he should not fight like this thought out his entire life. He was denigrating their Jewish background.

In the film school ties Greene always showed his prejudice from the first day of his school. His football coach Mc Davit that is Kelvin tight told him to take special diet because of his Jewish background. Greene found that his faith was tested when he attended Protestant chapel where he must have to choose two things either going to temple as his father wish so or to play football. He had chosen the second option. He started playing football and after some days he establishes himself as a team leader.

The film School Ties not only deals with prejudice but also showed social prejudices that is the concept of honor and abuse of power. It has been showed in the film that Greens are basically gifted by his birth and the circumstances on which he took his birth. In this film religious prejudice also extends to all the spheres of Greene’s life. And it makes the social prejudice more obvious. Things that took place between Reece and Greene turn sour when Reece told him that his father did not tell him that he was a Jewish.

The climax of this film occurs when Dillon was caught cheating on history test. Actually Greene saw him doing cheating. And the class teacher discovered it when Dillon drops that one in the class accidentally.
