Depression is the physical illness and it is not necessary that if we are sad than only we will be depressed, however if we are happy also than also we can have depression. There is a chemical in the brain that is responsible for the mood control. So, it doesnt matter that whether we are sad or happy. It cannot only affect an adult but even a child can also be affected by depression. Sometimes, due to work pressure, financial problems, family problems we can have this disease, but sometimes people have depression without any reason. These type of people feel lonely and start to cry even without any reason.
We have various types of treatments to get rid of depression. There are various types of medications, therapies, antidepressant, herbal therapies and Psychotherapy to prevent depression, but, sometimes the reoccurence of depression can only be treated with the help of medicines only.
Zoloft is a prescription medicine which is highly tolerable, effective an is highly recomended. It is used to treat depression, tension and anxiety disorders. It maintains the level of serotonin in the brain and help to improve the mood. It helps in curing the premenstrual problems. Zoloft comes in two forms that is solid and liquid form. It is recommended to be taken before bed time. The generic name of Zoloft is sertraline. If the person is allergic to food or medicines, pregnant, heart problems, metabolism problem, drinking alcohols, then it should not b consumed. The dosage recommended for this medication is 50mg per day. It has varios side effects such as Agitation, anxiety, or nervousness; changes in vision, loss of appetite, vomiting, fever, mouth dryness and sweating. So, it should b taken after the prescription of the doctor.
Before taking this medicine please note that if you are pregnant or breast feeding mother you should not use zoloft as it may harm the health of unborn baby or nursed child. Do inform your doctor if you are taking any prescription, non prescription or herbal medicine before taking this medicine as this medicine may react with other medicine. As it is a prescription medicine so it should be taken as it is prescribed by the doctor. Take this medicine with a full glass of water, after or before your meal. Try to take the medicine on the same time each day. Do not increase or decrease the dose of the medicine n your own. Store Zoloft at room temperature, away from light, heat and moisture. Keep this medicine away from the reach of the children and pet.
