VMMS Benefits the Tea Exporters
Written by sattick roy
Tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world and seems to have originated in China purely by accident when the tea leaves fell in the emperor’s water. From then on tea has truly come a long way. According to the Tea Council of United Kingdom it is estimated that there are 1,500 different varieties of tea - that is an amazing choice of teas grown in some 36 countries! There are six main categories that tea can be divided into: black, green, oolong, white, compressed and flavored teas.
As we are all aware that growing tea is not any easy ball game at all. One has to rely on several external factors to ensure that tea is grown well and the basic standards are maintained. First they need to rely on climatic conditions, for example the rain fall distribution needs to relatively eve. The excess causes drainage problems. When there is less water, it is still a huge problem as water intake for plants would be less and this in turn would act as a hindrance towards growth. Further lower temperature causes lower. Thus the temperature needs to be just right to ensure a consistent growth.
In terms of the soil, tea grows best on high lands well drained with a good depth. Also the acidic PH should be in the range of 4.5 to 5.5 and the organic matter should be more than 2%. Even the day length influences the growth of tea.
To top it all tea growers must ensure that there no pests that would harm the tea plants and hinder growth. They need to use the right amount of pesticides to ensure that the growth happens as per schedule.
Last but not the least tea plantation owners need to tap the right source in terms of buyers. Though there are many buyers in the world market, but there are even more number of suppliers who are in cut through competition in the tea growing sector. So what’s different? How can we trust you more than others? We can suggest a path breaking solution that can change the course of the tea business both in the domestic as well as the international arena.
Use of video sharing: Today the way we buy and sell our goods are very different from the way we used to few years back. We live in the virtual world and we do most of our business dealings online. Why not take a video of one’s tea plantation, the process of tea making, workers involved and the quality of tea and circulate the same the world over? Visual clips have a more impact than power point presentations or on any other medium. Simply choose from many of the video sharing platforms online and get your business to the next level. With the advent of new technology now you can actually send unlimited videos from any internet device to any other internet device anywhere in the world. You can basically send videos to even mobile phones of your prospective customers and impress them with your tea estate. This is probably the best way to start preliminary talks with any client.
