The web and also offline stores sometimes offer bad products that promise the right ways to increase height. They come in the form of DVDs or instruction manuals, showcasing exercises that are supposed to increase your height. Not only are bad programs a waste of your time and money, what is even worse is the possibility of doing harmful exercises. This could result in slipped discs and torn tendons. You need to be even more careful with all the different special pills that you can order with the click of a mouse button. What all of these products have in common is that they promise a quick fix which seems logical at first.

After all, doing exercises and stretching can seem like a legitimate way to lengthen your joints and bones. The same holds true for hormone treatments or other supplements, which supposedly provide you with the exact substances that your body needs to grow taller. And since your body hasn't produced them himself, why not tap into exte
al sources, right? In order to be able to differentiate between useful and useless height gaining products, we must take a good hard look at what has been proven to work - and ignore all the loose promises.

Firstly, you must understand why it is impossible to lengthen your bones merely through exercising or consuming supplements. The reason for that is that the cartilage will have turned into solid adult bone. Cartilage is a substance consisting of connective tissues, which is stiffer than muscle but not as rigid as bone. As you became an adult, this substance turned into bone, reducing your number of bones from about 300 to only about 206. At the end of your long bones are growth plates. When the cartilage finally turns into bones, these growth plates cannot increase your height anymore. An adult bone just cannot be lengthened anymore only through stretching because it is now of solid matter. However, there can still be exercises that can help you increase your height. It's just better to do it when you are young and your body is still in the process of growing.

Now here's the thing: Doing exercises to grow taller while you are young can make your bones stronger and can also release height growth hormones, resulting in a faster growth process. Moreover, keeping good habits like a good posture and a sound diet sets you up with much healthier bones. This can prevent bone weakening diseases or shrinking as you become older. The importance of a good diet is just as vast. You should strengthen your body by eating enough vital nutrients such as protein, amino acids and calories. Especially calcium is really important for your bones. Your body will take calcium from your bones in your advanced years, which oftentimes results in bone shrinking. These are all key reasons to why exercising and keeping a good diet are so important.

Even if you are past adulthood, there are still several ways to increase your height. Many of these alterations involve your wardrobe, shoes, hair, posture and attitude. Many individuals make use of such methods to make themselves look taller and slimmer. If you haven't tried them out, yet, you would be surprised how much of a difference it can make.
