Your brain is an exciting tool and lives in symbiosis with the sensations from the body. It's confirmed that your thoughts can transform your perceptions and actions, and also that your actions can alter your emotions.

At all times both of these factors impact each other, that's the reason smiling when depressed causes you to feel more happy and it's also why you laugh whenever you find something humorous.

Self-Affirmations
I was taught once to tell myself “I like myself!”
Stating to yourself that you like yourself influences the mind and increases your feeling of self worth.

Before I used this exercise it was as if I had a small voice in my mind saying;
“Ooh, seems hard, you can’t do that, steer clear!”.

With the use of self affirmations I am capable of block that voice out and replace it with a voice screaming
"No problem!"

Of course this voice is a lot more reassuring and enables me to keep my courage high when I feel afraid or insecure.
Self affirmations have the potential to help you improve your mindset and your emotions, by consistently providing yourself positive thoughts you can make you more determined, happier, calmer and even more confident.

Every day I read the following text out loud:
“I like myself
I love my work
I am going to be happy today
I can do it!

I like myself
I love my work
I am going to be happy today
I can do it!

I like myself
I love my work
I am going to be happy today
I can do it!”

You should use what you require
Stating to myself this has made me more happy at work, more confident, happier and it has helped me take more action.
Try using this, or something else which may fit you better.
You can tell yourself anything at all, my advice is to continually say it in an active form e.g. I am, I have. Rather than I will, I wish.
This is a much more effective to state “I like myself” compared to “I will like myself”.

Some recommendations
I deserve success
I am a good X
I am motivated
I am the best Y
I am great

Choose the words you use sensibly and use them constantly, this just as much as anything is the thing that will make you a success in the future.
