When opportunities present themselves for us to make a difference, we may not realize it until the time has come and gone. We may be so wrapped up in the events or the conversations with the people we don’t realize God is presenting a moment for us to share. We can share by openly saying how great He is that He has brought us together. We can share by encouraging others about God and what He can do for them.

When we are surrounded by friends and loved ones, we may be feeling good about the time we have to spend with them or we may be feeling upset about the things they are saying and doing. We may get so wrapped up in what we are thinking and how we are feeling we forget that God is still with us. He wants us to use the good times and bad as opportunities for us to serve Him and others.
Colossians 3:16-17 “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”
When we get to school or work, there may be triggers that get us off track when we see someone who has hurt us. There may be so much work to do we get overwhelmed and stressed. There may be someone or something which causes us to forget our purpose is to serve God. These distractions take away opportunities to share with others.

We may be so wrapped up in emotions of happiness or sorrow we don’t see God is wanting us to allow Him in the celebration or cry out to Him with our issues or open up to others about what He can do and has done. When we allow others to control our emotions in situations, we take our focus off God and place our focus on ourselves. We should keep our emotions out of these situations and focus on God so He can work through us to help.

What do we need to do to remember God in every part of our lives? How can we be sure we are doing and saying what God wants us to do and say at every opportunity He presents to us? How can we be consumed with His love so what we do and say are in line with what He wants?

When we are consumed with something or someone, our thoughts are on them always. Remember our first love, we woke up thinking about him or her, we wondered what they did all day and we couldn’t wait to see them each evening. We should be consumed with God. God should be in every part of our lives all day long.

The things of the world attempt to consume us; however, our God is strong. All we need is to focus on Him, to trust in Him and to learn more about Him. We can do that through reading His word and talking with Him. We can do that by having some quiet time with Him. Once a day isn’t enough. Spending time with God and cleansing our minds in not like showering and cleansing our body. We need God all day long.

Our time with God should be continuous. We can’t see opportunities for us to share God if we aren’t thinking about Him continuously. We can’t know when He wants us to take action, if we don’t talk and listen to Him throughout the day. We can’t remember Him in every part of our lives if we only spend time with Him one time a day. We need Him all day to help us stay aware of opportunities and act on them so He can make a difference through us.
