Weight loss appears to be the demand of our time. Unfortunately, the public easily gets carried away by the promises of overnight effect; a loss of more than 20 pounds per week. If you are someone who falls into this group, beware, your body would not allow you to stay focused for long in your weight loss efforts. You may be able to reach your desired target, but your body having no time to get accustomed to a drastic diet plan would revert back to its normal weight quickly. If you show a little patience to allow your body to get accustomed to your newly introduced diet, you can adopt a method of gradual weight loss. You are sure to see lasting effects and that too without having even the least sign of ill-health.

The answer to the question, “how much weight can you lose in a week?” lies in your own determination, the extent of your commitment towards your goal. And shedding almost two to three pounds of your body weight is not something which requires you to adopt to a dramatic change in your eating habit you had been following all through these years. Furthermore, the gradual and slow diet plan would never create any difficulty for your body to get accustomed to your new diet plan to shed a few pounds. Just lowering the calorie of your daily diet would go a long way in assisting your weight loss plan. And if you supplement it with an hour of light exercises like jogging or walking, it would create wonders for you and that too even without you knowing it.

It is highly recommended that you take some time in the early hours of the morning for your exercises. Research shows that this holds the power to keep you fresh and invigorated all through the day. The hours after your workout, your body would continue to burn calories. However, make sure that you drink lots of water. The regular intake of a good vitamin supplement would be an added safety measure guarding you from the temptation to have junk food which would definitely contribute toward your excess weight.

And the idea of starving yourself to lose a few pounds is sure to take you to your desired goal within no time. However, you should understand that the body is sure to suffer from this drastic change and it would definitely make you regret for whatever you have done to reach your desired goal in the past.

In conclusion, it is advised that you make sure that you do not turn away from your newly acquired healthy diet. A reversal would definitely lead your body back to its earlier stage. And crash diet is never a solution for your trouble.
