I love watching the Academy Awards. Even though I'm usually in the wrong timezone, I always stay up to marvel at the beautiful dresses and the tanned gorgeous bodies of the celebrities. I know a lot of work goes into the big day for them, and probably thousands of dollars too. It would be like planning for a wedding!
However, you don't need to be a celebrity to treat yourself like a star. You can take inspiration from the beauty and weight loss secrets of the rich and famous, but without needing their huge bank balance!
Here are some tips:
1. A-List celebrities know they deserve the best
The biggest celebrities know that their appearance is important and are completely willing to buy the best food, salon treatments and beauty products. They always look completely confident on the red carpet and completely believe they deserve to treated like VIPs.
Somehow I doubt that Jennifer Aniston is feeling guilty about looking her best. She's the perfect example of someone who started off a relatively plain and chubby actress and transformed herself into one of the hottest celebrities in the world.
The great news is that you don't need to be a multi-millionaire to eat like one! Eating whole, organic and mostly raw fruit and vegetables is one of the biggest beauty and weight loss secrets and many celebrities including Alicia Silverstone, Heather Graham, Demi Moore and Jordan swear by a natural diet to give them a natural glow.
The best news is that it's not out of the realm of affordability - especially when you know you deserve the best nutrition for your body. The very best food on the planet is actually very simple, it's not expensive truffles or caviar. It's real and fresh and it doesn't come wrapped in a tin or cardboard box.
You can also treat yourself like a million bucks by having regular facials, massages or spa days. If finances are tight you can go to a beauty trainee school, ask for a trial pass at a fancy gym, look out for special deals or pamper yourself at home with some girlfriends.
Self-care can make a huge difference to how you feel about yourself, it gives you a straighter spine and a self assuredness that you deserve to take care of yourself. When you feel good, you are more likely to take care of yourself, eat better, get enough sleep and feel happy in yourself.
2. A-List celebrities hire coaches and experts to help them
Almost every celebrity at the Oscars would have had hours of professional help. Trainers, nutritionists, personal chefs, botox technicians, make-up artists, stylists, plastic surgeons, cosmetic dentists, spray tanners.... I could go on!
If you want to achieve something fast - you go straight to the expert, you don't mess around because your motivation could wane and life gets in the way. If your health and wellness goal means that much to you, then do what you need to make it happen.
What experts could inspire you to your ultimate health and wellness?
Having a fitness coach can keep you accountable to a weight loss or an exercise plan. Hiring a makeover expert could help you get out of a rut and stop using excuses like "I don't know what to wear!". Having a session with a life coach can help you formulate a plan to move forward with your goals.
A-List celebrities know that they need help to get amazing results, so don't delay putting together your own personal "Transformation Team".
3. A-List celebrities prepare with determination
Celebrities know all eyes will be on them on the red carpet and they prepare every inch of their bodies for close up scrunity because the photos will last forever. Imagine their focus on the prize every time they go for a 5am workout.
For the rest of us, there's a big difference between being obsessed and being utterly committed to your health and wellness goals.
If you've got something big to aim for like your wedding day, a special birthday or holiday coming up, then get a laser focus towards your health. Imagine that there will be 100 paparazzi photographing your big occasion!
To truly get excited about your transformation goal, I suggest making a dream board with pictures that inspire you such as your dream wedding dress or a bikini you want to wear on holidays. You can do this on paper by cutting out pictures in a magazine or pasting photo files into a PowerPoint slide. Stick it on the fridge or use it for screen saver on your computer as a daily reminder of your goal.

These easy tips can be used by anyone! Treat yourself like the star you are and you'll find yourself even more inspired with your health and wellness goals.
