Weight Loss Made Easy
Written by paul miller
Losing weight seems to be a complex science that nobody can get their head around. It doesn’t have to be that way. Think about it this way, the biggest reasons why people cannot get rid of their love handles is the hunger, cravings and temptations they go through with food every day. There is a solution and it is much easier than you think.
It all comes down to the food choices you make. Processed foods such as pasta, breads and cereals will play havoc with your body, leading you to sugary cravings, hunger and temptation. Foods such as these raise your blood sugar levels rapidly causing your body to release insulin- a fat storing hormone.
High levels of blood sugar and insulin make it almost impossible to lose weight. Energy levels end up on a rollercoaster of short highs followed by giant crashes of low energy and feelings of lethargy, tiredness and irritability. At this point your body will crave any carbohydrate rich or sugary foods to get as far away from these feelings as it can. Unfortunately this will just end up in repeating the same cycle of highs and lows throughout the day.
The secret to getting off the rollercoaster of highs and lows is to choose foods that give a feeling of fullness for a long time. This means eating proteins such as chicken, fish, beef, and lamb; good fats such as olive oil, butter, nuts, seeds and avocados and fibres such as spinach, broccoli, carrots and pretty much all vegetables.
A couple of examples of great meal choices would be
Wild salmon on a bed of asparagus drizzled in olive oil
Or
Grass fed beef cooked in butter with a cucumber, tomato and feta cheese salad.
The food you should eat for healthy weight loss is real food. Food that doesn’t come in packets with barcodes and doesn’t go into the microwave and pop out two minutes later. Eat the food our ancestors would have been able to hunt and gather.
I promise if you make these simple changes by eliminating all the processed crap and choosing real nutrient dense food, not only will you find the cravings after meals disappear you will feel less tired and irritable and have a lot more energy. Those extra lbs will fall off and you will easily be able to maintain a healthy weight.
Give it a go for 21 days and see how you feel. Really what have you got to lose other than those extra lbs.
