If you are seeking to reduce the effects of paap or inauspicious karmas in your current life, then try out the following effective methods prescribed by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan (Gnani), the founder of Spiritual Science movement known as Akram Vignan. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan is the Enlightened being with a sole wish in his mind; and that is ‘may the whole world attain ultimate peace and may some attain ultimate liberation.

Here are some of the most effective practices which will help you during the effects of inauspicious karmas:

1.First thing, every morning and before going to sleep at night, recite the Trimantra, five times with complete focus. Visualise each letter with your eyes closed. This is a wonderful way to experience the calmness of mind. Trimantra is the essence of all religions. When one recites the Trimantra, one pleases all the holy deities; and as a result, one’s difficulties are greatly reduced. If you have a lot of problems, recite the Trimantra daily for an hour; and you will find that the burden of your difficulties will be significantly reduced.
The Trimantra (The Three Mantras) is as follows:
Namo Arihantanam
Namo Siddhanam
Namo Aayariyanam
Namo Uvazzayanam
Namo Loye Savva Saahunam
Eso Pancha Namukkaro
Saava Paavappanasano
Mangalanam cha Saavesim
Padhamam Havai Mangalam
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya
Om Namah Shivaay

The meaning of this mantra is as follows:
Namo Arihantanam - I bow to all the Lords who have annihilated the inner enemies of anger, pride, attachment and greed.
Namo Siddhanam - I bow to all the Lords who have attained final liberation.
Namo Aayariyanam - I bow to all the Self-realized masters who unfold the path of liberation.
Namo Uvazzayanam - I bow to the Self-realized teachers of the path of liberation.
Namo Loye Savva Saahunam - I bow to all who have attained the Self and are progressing on the path of liberation in the Universe.
Eso Pancha Namukkaro - These five salutations...
Saava Paavappanasano - ...destroy all the sins.
Mangalanam cha Saavesim - Of all that is auspicious...
Padhamam Havai Mangalam - ...this is the highest!
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevay - I bow to the One who has become Lord from a human being.
Om Namah Shivaay - I bow to all auspicious beings in this Universe who are the instruments of salvation of the world.

Note: you only need to recite the bold words, the non-bold words explain the meaning.

2.Secondly, every morning recite the following sentence, “May no living being be hurt to the slightest extent through my mind, speech and body” and be sincere to this sentence. The greater the sincerity, the greater the result. When you uphold the intent not to hurt others, people will automatically respond with same intent.

3.Finally, perform pratikraman. Pratikraman means earnestly asking for forgiveness for the mistakes that have happened by us in the past. By doing pratikraman, we clear up our mistakes. The 3-fold process of pratikraman, as explained below, is most scientific, which means we are guaranteed 100% results, if performed correctly:
1)Alochana - confessing the mistake.
2)Pratikraman - asking for forgiveness for that mistake.
3)Pratyakhyan - making a firm resolve to never repeat the mistake.

To conclude, bad karmas cannot be set off against our good karmas. Each karma will have to be respectively endured. But by following the above practices, you will certainly begin to experience tremendous changes in you whie undergoing the unfolding paap or inauspicious karmas.

Author's Bio:

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization.
