What Are The Qualities Of A Great Vlogger?
Written by Surabhi Joshi
For those who have a little or no idea of what a vlog or vlogging or vlogger is here’s a quick introduction.
The term ‘vlog’ is a short form of a video blog. As the name suggests, a blog that contains video content is called a vlog. The person who creates it is called a vlogger and the process involved is called vlogging.
Vlogging can be considered as a more elaborated form of blogging where the video blogger doesn’t need to write posts expressing his/her views regarding a particular topic. He/she can instead simply create an informative video explaining whatever is needed.
As a matter of fact, anyone who has the basic necessities required to make a video can try his/her hands on vlogging. However, it takes a lot more to be a great vlogger. Here’s how you can be one:
Make the most of your sense of humor:
You obviously wouldn’t want your viewers to get bored of your videos and move away. So, a little sense of humor is necessary to make your vlogs more enjoyable to watch. Suppose you decide to vlog about something as simple as brushing your teeth, it’s all that spice your sense of humor would add that’ll make the things way more interesting and help you stand out from the crowd.
Leverage your creativity:
You would have a number of competitors who would be vlogging about similar topics. That’s where you’ll have to leverage your creativity and present the same thing that most bloggers do in a completely different way. That’s not all, you need to be consistent in providing unique and quality content that your fans are looking on a regular basis.
Be positive and relatable:
As a vlogger, you need to be expressive enough. Your audience should be able to relate to your ideas. Your vlog should be a positive and inspirational one. So, try and come across as friendly, energetic and connect with your audience as a virtual friend of theirs. Make it easy for them to understand your ideas and your perception regarding a particular topic.
Be responsive to comments:
Just like a business cannot thrive without customers, a vlog cannot be successful without fans and a crazy following. So, learn to be grateful to your subscribers and fans who take time to comment on your vlog. Be responsive to their comments, likes, shares, and queries. Do not miss out on any engagement opportunity. Connect with your fans using the most appropriate social media channels. Indulge in meaningful conversations and be grateful for all their love.
Lastly, it all depends upon your hard work and determination that’ll help you grow and succeed as a vlogger!
