What are the signs of an Enlightened Person? How can we tell if someone has reached a high level of Spiritual Attainment or not?

The signs of an enlightened being (Gnani) who has reached a high level of spiritual attainment are outstanding and distinct, and they are of such supreme quality that they stand out immediately:

• Nothing in this world that we have experienced so far can come even close to what we experience whilst in such a person’s presence. Just imagine!

• His speech touches our hearts.

• A mere eye contact with Him instantly brings about an experience of inner bliss like no one else in this world can provide. While in His presence, our worries and tensions vanish.

• Everyone feels like He is my own. The oneness that one feels with Him is unmatchable.

An enlightened being is a supreme Soul in a human form:

• He is not the owner of his body, mind, or speech.

• He is free from the weaknesses of anger, pride, deceit, and greed.

• The Ego, intellect and the feeling of mine are almost absent in Him.

• He does not want anything from anyone in this world; rather His sole purpose in life is to spread knowledge of the Self and this is preserved whole heartily within:

Such a Gnani walked on our planet. He was Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan.

Let us read a little about Him...

Since numerous past lives, He wanted to know, ‘Who am I, who governs this Universe, where is God, how is the bondage of karma and life connected, how to come out of the bondage of karma, how to gain ultimate enlightenment, etc. He was searching for enlightenment, and in 1958, he spontaneously gained it.

Within that moment, He experienced the Universal truth and found answers to all the above questions and more. The deluding coverings over his Soul broke away and the God within him manifested. He called this God ‘Dada Bhagwan’. His ego completely melted, and He got detached from the body complex, the thoughts, the speech and the actions.

Upon attainment of the Soul, his sole desire was, “May the world attain the happiness that I have attained?”

Accordingly, a step-less path to Self-realisation called ‘Akram Vignan’ emerged, as a result of which, today, the entire world can acquire enlightenment in just two hours, with the direct grace of the Living Gnani!

When the Gnani graces us with enlightenment, He, with the divine spiritual powers, burns away the deluding coverings over our Soul such that the right vision of the Self manifests within. With this, we realize ‘who am I’.

After enlightenment, our understanding gets clear that “John (please insert your name here) is separate, and I am pure Soul.” As our understanding of the Self grows, the experience of separation from the body complex also enhances.

After enlightenment, one leads a better worldly life. And as one’s spiritual understanding grows,

• Their tensions and worries leave.

• Their anger, pride, deceit and greed, the key reasons behind all our suffering, begin to decrease.

• Their fears and miseries start to reduce, and peace begins to reign within.

• They begin to experience oneness with every living being rather than division.

• As their awareness of the Soul increases, bliss prevails amidst any suffering.
