A Brief History of Civil Process Servers
Constitution of Unites States of America has set forth the privilege for the service of due processes. This implies that every citizen of USA holds the right to get information in case of being summoned by a legal court. These guidelines are specifically mentioned in the fifth and sixth amendment of the constitution.
Process Servers were introduced as an intended messenger system service to let individuals know about their constitutional rights and duties of the various law processes. Under this individuals were notified of the legal issues that were related to them. During initiation, legal papers were typed and sent o the concerned individuals by using local country sheriff service. With the expansion of cities in US it became a more challenging and daunting task for sheriffs to do multitasking job i.e. dispersing legal papers besides attending the legal matters in their concerned jurisdiction. This lead to the need of an individual who can deliver these legal papers in a time efficient manner and this is how process servers came into effect.
What Are the Job responsibilities of a Process Server?
Whether you are in Tampa or any other part of Florida, you might have experienced the requirement of civil process server or a Florida process server to meet your varied legal requirements. As a civil process server, one needs to do an assorted range of tasks such as filing of legal papers in court, serving legal documents, document retrieval and other related tasks. As mentioned above, their prime job responsibility is to serve legal notification to the individual/individuals involved in any court case. After the delivery of legal documents, a process server needs to deliver actual evidence that can prove that legal documents were served properly. This verification document is also known as affidavit of proof and needs to be notarized and sent to the individual/organization who had filed the case. As per their state of jurisdictions, a civil process server needs to ensure that all the documentation is done in a correct laid out manner. Every state has different civil process serving laws, so a Florida based rncivil process server may need to carry out different task in contrast to process server belonging to any other city or state.
Significance of Civil Process Server Services
As we have seen the versatility of tasks performed by civil process server, it can be said that process services are of significant importance. The primary significance of process server lies in ensuring that all the due of law is upheld in United States. Besides this, process servers serve as an integral part of civil society and ensure that legal documents are served in an efficient and appropriate manner. In case, a process server fails to do the assigned task , a legal court can’t decide that whether the individual to which case was related has been made legally aware of the procedure or not. This fact also highlights the need of diligent efforts along by becoming fully aware of the process server related laws in your state so that a defendant can be served legally.
