A number of parents desire their child should either become a doctor or an engineer. In joint families this desire is also shared by the grandparents for their grand children and pursuing a career is no more restricted to the child but to the entire family. Some parents are ambitious or want to make sure their child does for them what they couldn’t do for their parents irrespective of the clash that this might cause. Other parents would much rather not talk about a topic of this sort till their child grows up understanding the change of time.
