What is Ford Privilege?

My retired next door neighbour has a brand new car every 6 months, it was once a year but with the new registration format it’s every six months. I’ve always wondered how he affords to upgrade his car so frequently. At our local neighbourhood watch meeting I got chatting to one of my other neighbours, we both mentioned my neighbours new car, the new Ford Focus. It appears we were both a bit puzzled about how he can afford it, in the conversation this other neighbour told me that my neighbour use to work for Ford, and maybe he gets a discount of some sort? Determined to find out what it was I went online to the Ford website and discovered Ford Privilege, the site was full of Ford Privilege information such as who is eligible and how to receive the discount. I was very curious because my nephew has just taken up a role as a technician at the Dagenham engine plant. Basically, Ford Privilege allows a Ford employee pensioner or beneficiary and their families to purchase Ford vehicles at a greatly reduced price. As an employee of Ford Motor Company Limited, or an associate company, you can buy up to 3 Ford vehicles within a 9-month period under the Ford Privilege scheme.rnThe discounts range from £250 right up to £3,000 depending on which model you are interested in. On a Focus you can get a discount of £1,500, which is quite a substantial amount. I’m going to talk tio my nephew and see if “family” means his favourite uncle too.
