Self Care is about giving yourself the gift of wellness. This body is our vessel and temple. How we treat this temple reflects on our happiness and well being. So really, Self care is Self Love. It is taking time to love yourself.

I know when I don’t take time for myself It reflects on every part of my life, be it relationships, work, and most importantly my own connection with myself. It is so important to take time for YOU.
If you can’t do that for yourself, how could you possibly be able to do it with anyone else?

Some examples of Self Care:
• Exercising regularly – It has been proven to release stress. I find exercising is a huge energy
release for me. I expel so much access energy that might have been accumulated during the week or
day, and after exercising. It is also like a meditation for me and can be very centering.
• Going on a hike, re-connecting with nature can be extremely healing and centering.
• RELAXING: Throughout the day, take “mini-breaks”. Sit down and get comfortable. Breathing and
relaxing.
• Taking naps, a bath, getting a massage or spa treatment.
• Saying “NO.” I will straight up check out and let my friends and family know I’m done and need time
for myself. Saying “No” to your loved ones can be hard, but in the end by making that choice you
are actually doing yourself and your loved ones a favor by honoring yourself. You go into
hibernation and come out and better YOU! Another important point: Feeling worthy or deserving of
taking time for yourself. Again this is connected to self love. Do you feel that you deserve
treating yourself with self care and love? Do you feel worthy of receiving all the blessings that
come with a healthy mind, body and spirit? These are questions to ask yourself.

So, take some time for self-care today.

Author's Bio:

Monica's mission in life is to help others with their own unique healing and inner transformation through the intregration of the body, mind, and spirit.

She creates a safe, nurturing, and open environment for you to release blocked energy stored in your body - energy that can help you to open to your higher potential and gifts.

By working with you to engage your personal growth and development, she can help facilitate you on your path towards a deeper and more fulfilling life.

Monica was born in Los Angeles, California to Buddhist parents. This exposed her to higher conscious, spiritual and metaphysical environments from her earliest stages of development. As a result, she has been drawn to helping people with healing and connecting to their full potential throughout her entire life.

Rather than taking the standard Physical Education program in High School, Monica studied Kundalini Yoga. This created a passion in her that would inspire her to study at the world-renowned Golden Bridge Yoga Studio in Los Angeles, California where she became a Fully-Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher in 2008. This training has helped her to deepen and expand her understanding and awareness of the mind, body and soul connection.

The day after her graduation at Golden Bridge, Monica enrolled in the Energy Healing Certification program at the Lionheart Institute of Los Angeles where she obtained her Certification as an Energy Healing Practitioner.

She feels it is her deepest passion and mission in life to help others with their own unique healing and inner transformation. She works as a conduit for Universal Energy (Prana, Chi, Life- Force Energy) to help assist you in your own self correcting healing. She connects with the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels of your energy field to help remove any blocks you might be experiencing on any of these levels.
