What is the easiest and simplest way to reduce the amount of suffering we create in lives of others
Written by Dada Bhagwan
The easiest and simplest way to reduce the amount of suffering that we create in the lives of others is to:
Ask for forgiveness with sincere repentance in our heart. This is a scientific and most practical way, and it is called pratikraman.
Pratikraman is a 3-fold process, comprising of:
1. Alochana - confessing the mistake committed by us.
2. Pratikraman - asking for forgiveness for that mistake.
3. Pratyakhyan - make a firm resolve to never repeat the mistake.
It is one of the simplest and powerful tool to resolve the guilt that got created within, to heal the pain that was caused to others, and to reverse the wrong doing that got done by us. And therefore, we should maintain a regular practice to do pratikraman, every time we end up hurting or harming any living being, through our thoughts, speech or conduct, by praying to God residing within the person whom we’ve hurt, saying, “Oh God! I made this mistake. Please forgive me. And give me strength to never repeat this mistake again.”
Advantages of pratikraman.
- Pratikraman is a process to reverse the hurt you have caused to the person concerned.
- Even when a bad thought enters your mind for those you have wronged you or for anyone else, you ask for forgiveness immediately. It is because you still harbour ill thoughts for them that the bad thought entered your mind.
- Perform pratikraman for emotions like anger, greed, deceit and pride that are stocked within you, for these are the very source for your pain, and in turn for the suffering you give to others. For example, if you feel anger towards someone then ask for forgiveness, for since anger is stocked within you, you feel angry; and not because the other person is at fault! If you do not have anger stocked within you, no matter what the other person says or does, it will not make you angry. By doing regular pratikraman for the stock of anger present within us, the atoms of anger lying inside you will all get dissolved one day, and you will not feel angry anymore.
- By performing pratikraman you feel lighter.
- Your negative feelings towards them will begin to change.
- The person you have wronged will also feel the positive vibrations that you have sent to them. Eventually, the feeling of grudge will no longer be left in others for you.
- Pratikraman is a scientific process and therefore it yields results for sure. Asking for forgiveness can be done internally. Pratikraman is the highest forms of all religion. So, maintain a positive inner intent to resolve all relationship with equanimity.
You may want to begin by doing pratikraman for an hour a day, remembering all the wrong-doings that happened during the day and asking for forgiveness for the same. Internally, you will know when you have done enough pratikraman, as the feeling of restlessness and uneasiness from within will stop then.
“It is natural for a person to make a mistake (commit a fault). What is the way to become free from that? Only the Gnani Purush [the enlightened one] can show it, (which is) ‘Pratikraman’” - Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan
True pratikraman begins after Self- realization.
Currently, you have the wrong belief of ‘l am John (the reader may insert his own name here)’, and therefore people’s attitude and behaviour towards John affects you. When you acquire the right belief of ‘I am pure Soul and not John’, then you will have the right vision. And with this vision, you will see everyone flawless.
Having gained this enlightened vision, you, as the Soul, will be able to get real pratikraman done from John, until all the atoms of anger, pride, deceit and greed stocked withi
John come to a total finish.
So while you do pratikraman for the daily mistakes that happen by you, also look forward to meet Gnani, the Enlightened One, from whom you can attai
Self-Realization, and thus gain the right vision!!!
If you are interested to know some more about this beautiful tool called ‘pratikraman’, or are curious to know how to attai
Self-Realization, you can find good details at https://www.dadabhagwan.org let's go have it...

How common is self-love, what happens without it, and how does it relate to self-esteem?
Self-love is very essential in boosting our self-esteem. A person having self-love is contented with his own presence, whereas a person who does not have self-love always wanders to get love from other people or things. He is always restless. He never feels satisfied even after receiving love from people. His hunger for love never ceases, and hence he demands more and more attention from others. As a result, his relationships are ruined and he always lives in misery.rn rnSo,

What is the importance of Living Guru?
Questioner: If we surrender to the great souls that lived thousands of years ago, can that be considered surrender? Can we make any progress through such surrender or do we need to surrender to a living great man? Dadashri: You can progress even through Paroksha (indirectly- one not currently living). However if you find such a living (Pratyaksh) person, then your liberation will be instant. The indirect approach will give you the benefit of progress but there is no liberatio
