Written by alica bacon
It’s time to check out the final fashion season for the first year of this new decade – 2011 – the starting point and the basis for the trends of 2012. Autumn / fall 2011 is basically an important time to build your wardrobe and evolve your very own personal style.
So the big question is what’s hot this season for fall 2011? Fashion as everyone knows is cyclical and Fall 2011 pays homage to the seventies. Vintage dresses from a bygone era are all the rage. There are two main aesthetics t take note of
• ’70s bohemianrnThink fun and colorful prints, large floral patterns, dangling chains and attractive lazy prints. Casual dresses or evening parties, the ’70s bohemian style will definitely shake your world.
• ’70s sophisticated glamourrnClassy vintage wedding gowns are the first thing that leaps to mind. Walk down that aisle with a bit of history on you. How many times have you looked at old photos and thought, “Wow! Now that’s glamorous.” Get your own bit of glamour. But yourself a beautiful vintage wedding dress – something that will make you look unique and gorgeous. You can always alter a few elements while retaining the original fabulousness.
• Short cocktail dressesrnShort cocktail dresses are synonomous with choosing wisely. In other words, so long short cocktail dresses are chosen prudently, they are appropriate for everyone. A formal or a semi formal event – the short cocktail dress looks ultra glamorous. Fabrics like silk or velvet look great for formal occasions. Bold reds, dazzling golds and deep greens are the colors to watch out for this Fall 2011. Short cocktail dresses come in a plethora of styles from halter necks to strapless to one sided creations. The dress looks best when it ends mid thigh, has vibrant colors and sophisticated embellishments like crystals, hand sewn beads and sequins. Short cocktail dresses have that unique ability of making a woman look feminine, soft and attractive while simultaneously being adequate for a business dinner or a formal office party.
• Full length evening gowns:rnNo wardrobe is complete without one classy piece of clothing in it and nothing is classier than a full length evening gown. A full length evening gown represents sophistication, character and the right dress choice indicates a blend of oomph and trendiness. The beauty of a full length evening gown, other than the fact that it is among the hottest trend of fall 2011 is the fact that it is eternal. Every occasion demands an evening gown and a full length one is something that suits most. You could choose a ball gown or a straight fit one or an A line one – one thing is assured – day or night – a full length evening gown is a glorious addition to your wardrobe.
rnSo what do you plan for this fall 2011? Do you plan to reign the fashion charts or watch from afar? The choice is all yours!
