When is the Time the Right Time?
Written by Jocelyn Apple
When would a person know that he or she needs to detach from the relationship the person is in just as how an art love
needs to emotionally detach himself to an original oil painting that has paint smeared all over?
It is not when you are emotionally battered. It is not when you are hurting. It is not when you are confused and uncertain of so many things. It is not when you are sad that you have to let go of hurtful love because all these are cries for remedy, for repair, for reconciliation. It is time to let go and depart from the person who caused you pain when you experience complete happiness and fulfilment without him. When there is too much peace within and you felt that you are restoring your self-worth again. When you feel that eating alone is much better than with him on the table. Or first time that you have enjoyed walking and shopping again with someone else or perhaps alone and if such wondrous feeling and peace surprises you, you know then that it is time to make friends and stay away from love, if possible. And if ever love knocks at the door once again, just enjoy the fun it brings and run away from stress or anything that will not make you smile. Why? What is the reason for running away from the past relationship only to bump oneself in once again to another tumultuous one? How can one sees herself as an Asian art if this kind goes on? Life is beautiful when you finally experience freedom from people who continuously keep you hateful and hating. And loving life alone is exciting. This is exactly when you know the time that you are ready to let go and move on, instead of holding on. Again, it is not when you are in pain in the relationship that we need to depart from it…it is when you feel so happy without it. And mind you, leaving a relationship with this happiness means, you reached your peak of patience and would never even regret life without the person you have been with, no matter how he changes or for whatever reason that people think he is someone you should have not given up.
Departing from relationship with this feeling of sadness less compassion for the other one in the party signals of not letting go. It is a sign of walking away from love which pain is its only consequence. But letting go with such feeling of relief is priceless. It insinuates enjoying oneself—being happy alone, and restoring back who you were prior to damaging relationship after all when a wall painting broke to pieces, tapes and glues cannot mask the damage.

Dr. Venus Nicolino: You Have To Make Yourself Available To Find Good Relationships
The idea of making yourself more desirable by making yourself less available doesn't make a lot of sense when you think about it. After all, Juliet would have plunged a premature dagger into the heart of her romance with Romeo if she hid in her room rather than go out on her balcony. The end of Sleepless in Seattle shifts from "awww" to "aw, no" if one of the two main characters skips the trip to the Empire State Building. As these examples from fiction show, making yourself
