Who can be the Best Teacher of a Child than a Mother?

Celebrating Teachers’ Day is not a new concept. In fact, an illiterate person of the country is also aware of the great day of Teachers’ day. Every year on 5 September we celebrate 'Teacher’s Day' since we had Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was one of the most distinguished diplomats, scholars and teachers of India as well as the second President of the country. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday is celebrated as Teacher's Day across India. As a matter of fact, his birthday is celebrated; as Teacher's Day, honoring the efforts of teachers all over the country.

We remember him for the most auspicious day in his life and at the same time pay tribute to all our teachers who are behind molding our life in good future during years of education. Teachers today only teach the schooling part to the students not giving any knowledge apart from studies. Grooming of students is not possible.

How could parents groom their children today’s to be law abiding and honest citizens of 'India tomorrow'? With both the parents working and the nuclear family system now existing everywhere, children are left to the mercy of teachers in schools and thereafter in tuition classes, stopping their personal growth is concerned.

When we discuss about teachers, one thing comes in mind is, who is our real teacher? One who come to the class at the stroke of the bell, talked like a robot and left at the stroke of another bell; or was it dear Mother, who interacted with most of the time, while at home, during most crucial part of life, whenever it was needed a teacher to provide guiding, help in understanding the problems and solve the issues. And, mother did this job like a good teacher, till she breathed her last.

The question is pretty complex. A child's mom is the first teacher a child has. I believe she is the best teacher through infancy and early childhood. Does that conclude that children's whose moms work are deprived of their best teacher? No - because the child doesn't live with the babysitter.

Studies show that one of the biggest determinants of a child's academic success is the educational level of his/her mother. Well educated mothers are better equipped to provide a stimulating early learning environment for their very young children. They understand the importance of talking to and reading to their children.

Mother is the best teacher you could ever find in life. Every day is a new day with mother. She teaches something new every day and the best thing about her is that we see her as an examples a best teacher for children. She cites an example in almost everything she does, especially when she gives you an idea about her honesty, kindness and hardworking attitude. Mother’s honesty is revealed in all her actions.

When a child does something good, it is the mother who is praised because it is she who has taught her child everything. How the student behaves or performs in school is often credited to the way he has been brought up by the parents most particularly the mother. The teachers are just working hand in hand with the parents in the development of the child. But the first and the most influential teacher is the mother.
