With the Oscars now over, the winners settled and done with, you can't be faulted for thinking that awards season is over. You’d be partially correct right – although you will not be seeing the outcome on the television, there are still many of awards about to be granted. Every year, About.com presents the Reader’s Choice Awards recognizing achievementsfor anything from Best TV Brand to Best Overall Add-On. There is even an award for Best Mac Antivirus. It’s pretty reasonable that one of the most hotly debated and voted in categories is the Best Browser Theme category, with five finalists: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari. The very same five web browsers were the finalists last year, due to the fact that only the most popular browsers can be considered. The 2010 results awarded the prize to Opera, which garnered 51% of the vote, and Firefox coming up behind with 41% in second place. One interesting thing to note, a paltry 1% of the vote for 2011 or 2010 went to Internet Explorer and Safari, the built in internet browsers for Windows and Mac respectively. Despite the fact that the vote tally should be enough evidence to influence you, it's been confirmed time and time again that newer browsers like Firefox, Opera, and Chrome are faster, safer, and more reliable. All of the browsers are free, and have different functions and add-ons for you to choose from. A Mozilla Firefox free download, for example, takes just minutes and is readily available on their website. This time around, the votes are considerably different, with Chrome in the lead at thirty eight percent and fourteen thousand, three hundred and twenty two votes so far. Firefox is once again falling in second, with thirty two percent of the vote. Opera has dropped since last year, and is only standing at 27% this year. It seems Chrome, Google’s browser, has surged wildly in popularity in the last year, or else the poll has simply attracted more Chrome users now than before. Internet Explorer and Safari together have less than five hundred votes, again affirming them as stand-ins, only used once to get on the net and download Firefox free. So, you may be asking, when do I get to find out who the winner is? Voting began on February 11, and finishes March 8, with winners announced on March 15. Although Chrome is still at the top, it’s too early to tell for sure who will come out as the winner. It’s not too late to cast your own vote, not only for Best Browser, but for any other topic relevant to your interests. No shadysketchy academy handing out awards to actors regardless of their current film’s quality, the About.com awards are determined purely by users. Should you wish to make a very informed conclusion about which browser is really the best, giving each browser a test isn’t a terrible idea. Opera, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox download in seconds each, and do not take much space on your hard drive, and uninstalling whichever you don’t like is just as fast. If you already have a favorite, go make your voice heard now!

I design websites, so browsers mean the world to me. While I wouldn't want to influence anyone's vote, I really think everyone should just download firefox free online. It's safe, it works, and you can find a mozilla firefox download fast.
