Everyone deserves to go to the park. Children and adults alike. When one has the opportunity to go outside and exercise, they should be able to do so. However, this isn't always the case. Studies have shown over 75% of people don't have a park within walking distance to them. This is a grave problem because people crave convenience. If there isn't a park near them, they will be less likely to seek one out. This is why significant communities are pushing to add more parks around the cities. There is always a benefit to going to parks and recreations alike. Studies show that homeowners that live within walking distance to a park are twice as likely to use it as opposed to someone who has to drive to their nearest park. And a park doesn't have to mean just a playground structure in a bit of grass. No people within communities are looking for arenas and athletic buildings that adults and children can utilize, even if it is a state park, a hidden trail, or a hike that they can explore. Everyone wants to enjoy the great outdoors and exercise. rnWhy People Go to Parks rnPeople in specific communities have brought this to our attention, that they don't get the opportunity they would like simply because it is not there for them. People go to parks to explore, journal, play with their children. The benefits of having parks and recreation areas are genuinely endless. And this would allow people to get out of their houses more. A survey showed that 90% of people in homing communities wanted government-funded amenities, infrastructure, and programming provided to their communities. This problem has been recognized and addressed by boards and communities, but there have been further setbacks, especially with the coronavirus. There is an active search to enhance communities and build more parks and recreation areas that children and adults can utilize together. Why People Want More Accessible Parks rnNot only is there a higher demand for parks and recreation areas, but there is a demand for them in diversity. Make the whole community feels included and a part of the place where they live. Make sure the people in your community are park and recreation users. They will feel more like a part of the community, which will then intrigue them to plant roots in your community. While the process is going to, unfortunately, be slow, it is an urgent matter that community board members are going to push to make happen.
