Why is it Important to Use a Computer Vacuum?
Written by Kenny Tan
Dust and dirt are one of the many reasons why computers sometimes perform poorly. These particles make their way inside the computer, thus causing some distortion in the mechanisms’ performance. The case vents and the computer fan are prone to collecting dust. When you start to hear the fans creating a strange noise, it is an indication that dusting is necessary. Keeping the fans dusty can cause it to function poorly. Damages in the fans will cause it to stop working, and the computer will become prone to overheating. Hence, proper monitoring and cleaning of the computer prevents damage in the computer. It is important to inspect regularly your computer, speakers and keyboard to prevent the accumulation of dust.
There are proper ways to take note of in keeping computers clean. Perhaps the most common mistake that some owners do is dusting their computer monitor with a house rag. This is not advisable because a typical house rag can scratch and create marks on the monitor. In the same way, dusting the motherboard with a rag can cause static electricity, thus potentially damaging it.
Therefore, what is the safest and most effective way to clean a computer and its accessory items? Dusting is definitely the worst thing that you can do because it only spreads dirt all over the computer and its parts. The perfect way to remove dust instantly is by using a computer vacuum. It is ideal for keeping the computer and its delicate components free from dust and dirt without causing damage. Ordinary vacuum cleaners such as an upright vacuum cleaner or canister vacuum are not advisable to use because these are particularly for carpets and floors.
There are several things to remember before using a computer vacuum. First, turn off the computer and unplug the power cord. Then, turn on the computer vacuum and clean out the dust on the fan, speakers, monitor and keyboards. Do not let the vacuum’s nozzle stick too close to the items that you are dusting. Inspect all the components of the computer is they are already clean. Continue sucking up dust until you are sure that the computer is completely clean.
Prolong Your Computer’s Life with Proper Maintenance
Proper maintenance of your computer includes regular cleaning. Using the right cleaning tools is very important because of the computer’s delicate components that can be prone to damage. A computer vacuum is not only efficient to use, but it is also the most advisable tool to use in cleaning your computer. Dusting only spreads dirt across the other parts of the computer. This practice also causes static electricity that is damaging to delicate components such as the motherboard. Thus, to remove dust effectively, a computer vacuum is the best tool to use. It sucks out dirt instantly without leaving scratches or marks on your computer.
Prolong the life of your computer and its accessory parts by keeping them clean. Use a computer vacuum for a thorough, efficient and effective way of cleaning your computer.
