Why No One Has Ever Given You the Best Tip on How to Develop a Successful Intimate Relationship?
Written by Doron Gil, Ph.D.
If you are still single who keeps failing to develop a successful intimate relationship or in an unsatisfying relationship, and have tried a variety of tips, advices and approaches to understand how to go about succeeding but in vain, this tip is for you.
It is likely that no one has ever mentioned this tip to you. If they would have, you probably would have acted on it already, become able to stop failing in your relationships and empowered to cultivate a successful one.
WHY NO ONE HAS EVER TOLD YOU ABOUT THIS TIP
Probably no one has ever told you about this tip not because they kept it to themselves as a “best kept secret”, but because MANY HAVE NEVER HEARD ABOUT THIS TIP THEMSELVES.
You probably haven’t come across this tip in different books you might have read about relationships, because NOT MANY HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT IT.
You probably haven’t come across it in workshops you might have taken because THESE FOCUS MAINLY ON COMMUNICATION AND LISTENING SKILLS, FINDING YOUR INNER VOICE, AND GAINING BETTER SELF-ESTEEM and don’t touch upon this tip.
You probably haven’t encountered this tip in dating sites, because these usually ATTEMPT TO OFFER YOU QUICK-FIX-TIPS.
THE BEST TIP TO LEARN HOW TO SUCCEED IN DEVELOPING INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS IS: DEVELOP SELF-AWARENESS
Self-Awareness means: you learn to observe yourself and to look inwards; you get to know and understand yourself better; you realize how factors you haven’t been aware of until now drive you to fail in your relationships (for example: needs and fears you are unconscious of, unrealistic expectations and fantasies, belief-system, automatic reactions and behaviors).
Gaining Self-Awareness enables you to see and understand how you SABOTAGE YOUR REALTIONSHIPS, the reasons driving you to doing so, and enables you to consciously change whatever needs change and to cultivate a successful relationship.
THE MERIT OF DEVELOPING SELF-AWARENESS
You probably haven’t been tipped about the importance of Self-Awareness before because usually it is being passed-on from one person to another via WORD-OF-MOUTH.
Those who have developed Self-Awareness are the ones to tell you about it and to outline its virtues. They would have probably tell you that:
1. Developing Self-Awareness is A WORTHWHILE EXPERIENCE which enabled them to get to know and understand themselves better;
2. They are excited about the PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH they’ve attained;
3. By developing their Self-Awareness they have gained A SENSE OF EMPOWEREMENT which helps them to be more authentic and true to themselves;
4. They are now capable of making CONSCIOUS CHOICES in and about their relationships;
5. They are proud about being empowered to “FREE THEMSELVES” from being controlled by needs and fears, messages and belief-system, unrealistic expectations and fantasies which drove them to harm their relationships;
6. They feel empowered about having gained the ABILITY TO CULTIVATE A SUCCESSFUL REALTIONSHIP.
SELF-AWARENESS; IT CAN REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Developing Self-Awareness is the key to cultivating a successful relationship. The awareness, knowledge and understanding you gain enable you to recognize what drives you to sabotage your relationships, stay single or be one who has given up on dating altogether. It enables you to take the necessary steps to change whatever needs change (in your attitudes, reactions and behaviors), and empowers you to cultivate a successful relationship.
Now that you have been tipped about Self-Awareness, wouldn’t you give it a try?

A Look at Avoidant Attachment Styles and How They Work
The early development of avoidant attachment creates a coping mechanism that forms in childhood. Disconnected parent-child interactions typically trigger this condition. Dr. Venus Nicolino: You Have To Make Yourself Available To Find Good Relationships
The idea of making yourself more desirable by making yourself less available doesn't make a lot of sense when you think about it. After all, Juliet would have plunged a premature dagger into the heart of her romance with Romeo if she hid in her room rather than go out on her balcony. The end of Sleepless in Seattle shifts from "awww" to "aw, no" if one of the two main characters skips the trip to the Empire State Building. As these examples from fiction show, making yourself
