Silicon Beach Training now offer Adobe Photoshop Training. We love Photoshop CS5 and below we have listed our favourite new features:

1. Content-Aware Fill

Top of the new features is the new Content-Aware Fill. It's no longer necessary to dab away at pesky unwanted objects. This improved feature of the Spot Healing brush automatically removes elements then matches the details, lighting, tone and noise of the surrounding area. Not only skin flaws, dust or litter here and there, we mean huge objects and areas. It’s a pretty impressive addition and a great time-saver.

2. Improved Edge Selection

CS5 sees big improvements to the Refine Edge feature and its Edge Detection capabilities.

3. Improved HDR Pro feature.

Rather than auto stack and combine multiple exposures, Photoshop CS5 offers more control over the HDR merging process. HDR can be fairly subtle or highly surreal and as well as greater control over the image output HDR Pro gives users the chance to save style presets.

4. Mixer Brush and Bristle Tips

Now with the new Mixer Brush and a Bristle Tips feature it’s possible to blend colors as well as allowing painters the ability to control the wetness of canvas colors, load and mixing rates. It’s even possible to determine whether the brush is refilled or cleaned after each painting stroke.

5. Puppet Warp

Puppet Warp gives allows you to push and pull elements within an image. You can even define a stacking order of different pin markers.

6. Booster features

There are plenty of features in Photoshop CS5 providing improved workflow tools for photographers and designers including:

* The Adobe Raw 6 plug-in
* Automated lens correction
* 3D extrusions with Adobe Repoussé
* Improved 3D realism and rich materials
* Improved black-and-white photo conversion
* Mini Adobe Bridge

Of course we should also mention both Photoshop CS5 and CS5 Extended now offer cross-platform 64-bit native support.
