The first part of "Doctor Strange" is not a perfect work in every respect. Viewers expect part 2 to improve.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel Studios officially announced the sequel to Doctor Strange in 2016 titled Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The work brought the ultimate witch to explore the multiverse with Scarlet Witch.

The first installment of Doctor Strange, though well-received by the public, is not perfect in every way. Screen Rant judges that part 2 should improve some issues.

Stephen Strange needs to be different from Tony Stark.

With a polished appearance, a playful lifestyle, a material desire, and an egotistical, easy-going nature, Stephen Strange are considered by many viewers to be a second Tony Stark. When a life of abundance collapses, he must learn to adapt and train to put the interests of others ahead of himself, becoming a superhero.

In the comics, the cause of Stephen Strange's downfall is his arrogant nature. This is also an essential part of the character's personality, making the image of the witch more arrogant. However, section 2 of the work needs to show more clearly this personality; otherwise, the audience will easily continue to confuse him with Tony Stark.

The chemistry between Rachel McAdams and Benedict Cumberbatch

Although Rachel McAdam's performance in Doctor Strange impressed the audience, the film's emotional storyline seems to be unfortunately ignored by Marvel.

Rachel McAdams owns a face with gentle beauty. Her bright eyes and bright smile made her known as the "love movie queen." However, the combination of Rachel McAdams and Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange was not created, causing many fans to regret. The next section may improve this.

With Jane Foster returning in Thor and WandaVision debuting as independent works, Phase 4 MCU will probably be marked by marrying sweeter Marvel couples on screen.

Build villains with more depth

MCU has been criticized a lot for building faint, superficial villains. The villains are described as terrifying threats but are quickly defeated in the Marvel universe.

Doctor Strange's Dormammu section is the prime example of this.

He is the ruler of the Dark Dimension and is one of Doctor Strange's most formidable foes. Also known as Lord of Chaos or Lord of Darkness, Dormammu's power includes harnessing pure mystical energy to move continuously and be able to devour anything, including the Earth. He is so strong that with just a snap of his finger, Thanos will no longer see the light of tomorrow.

However, when actually fighting him in Doctor Strange, Stephen Strange immediately caused the character to become chaotic, unlike the form of a formidable opponent. Many viewers hope that the villain versus the witch doctor in the next movie will have more depth and strength to match him.

Humor increases

Since Guardians of the Galaxy uses humor as a story development platform, this has become an essential feature in the works of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even with the severe and mature Captain America movie, MCU still did not forget to integrate the funny pieces, causing the audience to have moments of relaxation while watching.

Doctor Strange also does not lack such hilarious details but not really satisfied. Many situations are still heavy, arranged, forced, Screen Rant said. The next movie hopes not to repeat this track.
