What is Personal Growth and Getting Yourself Together?

There are many people in our society today that are very unhappy or unsatisfied with their lives for one reason or another. Whatever reason they have for being unhappy, there is undoubtedly a way to change it. Sometimes it requires a change in career, or situation. Other times it is simply a change in the way that people think. Sometimes, it is both. This is what personal growth and “getting yourself together” is all about.

Personal growth is spiritual and a path that you take to better your family situation, career, spirituality, emotional health, and every other aspect of your life. Essentially, personal growth is about making conscious decisions about everything that you do, the way that you think, and the way that you react to situations. Personal growth can help you obtain everything that you always dreamed of, and more, with the simple application of a few simple mind set changes.

In the Bible Romans 12:2 says, And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (NKJV).

One of the biggest steps toward personal growth is a change in mind set. If you think [know] that you can do better, you will. If you think that you are stuck in a dead end job, without family or friends to support you, and no prospects of a better future, you will ultimately be very unhappy. When you change your mind set to positive thinking and knowing better for yourself, you will find that you put forth more effort into everything that you do, and you will have much better results.

What It Means To Live Spiritually Fulfilled

Being happy is often misinterpreted in many ways. Most of the ways that the feeling of happiness is derived from is really not the product of true happiness but only a temporal feeling. People associate happiness with things like money, power, achieving dreams and goals, fame, accomplishments, all of which have material connections and bench marks.

True happiness is when one in completely at peace mentally and physically in the spiritually fulfilled life. Being able to find contentment anywhere, anytime and in anything is true happiness, and spiritual fulfillment.
