The most exciting part of your wedding planning has finally arrived, shopping for your wedding gown! The moment you said “yes” a million thoughts ran through your mind and now it is time to focus on the perfect dress you imagined. Wedding planning can become a little stressful, but this is the time to take a moment for yourself and become the beautiful bride that you are. We have prepared for you a few tips that will help your wedding dresses shopping experience a perfect dream come true.

1. DON’T rule anything out.
Although you have the perfect dress in mind, do not dismiss a gown your consultant may recommend to you. They have seen hundreds of brides walk into their shop before and they have a good idea on what silhouettes work for certain body types. How many times have you worn a ball gown, mermaid, or a-line wedding dresses in your life? Bridal gown silhouettes are different than everyday clothing which is great, because you are not looking for an everyday dress. So be open minded you might even be surprised that a gown you never imagined yourself in turns out to be “the one”.

2. DON’T try on too many dresses.
You already have so many things running through your mind for you wedding that you do not want to overwhelm yourself with trying on too many dresses. This is supposed to be a fun experience not a chore. Frustration can mount and your memory will start to get blurry as to what you like and what looks good on you. Some brides think that they need to try on as many dresses as possible until they cry or until they have a-ha moment. Everyone's experience is different and if you are not a crier waiting to try on as many bridal gowns until you you do cry is probably not the best idea. It is always best to try on one gown from each silhouette option to get an idea of which one flatters your body in all the right places. When you find the one you love then stop! Your work is done. When you found your fiance you didn't say yes, then keep looking for another one right?

3. DON’T go outside your budget.
Avoid trying on wedding gowns that are outside of the budget you have created for yourself. You do not want to be the bride who falls in the love with a gown only to become disappointed knowing that is falls outside of your budget. There are so many beautiful affordable wedding dresses at every price point so you don't have to sacrifice style for price.

4. DON’T feel pressured.
With so many people giving you your opinion while shopping it becomes difficult to stay true to what you have envisioned for yourself walking down the aisle. If you do not love any dresses you tried on during your appointment do not feel that you need to purchase one that day, simply take some more time to think about it or book another appointment.

These tips are sure to make your wedding dress shopping experience a walk in the park! Have fun and be sure to take lots of pictures in your gown and move around as much as you can to get a true feel for the wedding dress. The most important tip to remember is that tears do not mean you have found the wedding dress of your dreams, some brides simply connect with the dress without getting very emotional. Enjoy every moment and own the dress!
