Your Attitude to success

What is the first step in changing our results and creating the life we want instead of living the life we are given? To some the first step is so elusive they do not even attempt the first step. You would be surprised however the first step is one that is within everyone’s grasp. It all comes down to what Earl Nightgale calls “The Magic Word”. Attitude, this is the first step because our attitude will predict our results. Our attitude is the foundation for living a highly successful life or one that is problem and poverty stricken. It is a simple formula; fair attitude—fair results, good attitude—good results, and great attitude—great results you get the picture. The benefit in knowing this is that the only person that controls our attitude is you. See no one can tell you what type of attitude to have you make the choice and believe me when I tell you that it is a choice you make each and every day weather you know it or not. You can make a choice to start every day with a great attitude or you can just go along and pick the attitude of the people you meet up with in the day. Do you every notice that? You see if we are not conscience of our attitude then you will pick up the attitude of the people you are around. That is a dangerous game because if the person or people we associate with the most have a bad attitude then you can predict the results you are going to get without question. So how can you build a habit of a great attitude? First, you must become mentally the person you wish to be, you must be the attitude you wish to become. To quote German philosopher, Goethe “Before you can do something, you must first become something” so start each day with the choice of having a great attitude towards this great thing we call life. I start everyday with a sense of gratitude that I control everything that I have and everything I will get from this life, and with that I choose to have a great attitude. So here are some points to start you on developing a habit of a positive, expectant attitude:

1. Treat every person you meet as the most important person on earth.
2. Act toward others and the world in the same manner, exactly the same manner, as you would want them and the world to treat you.
3. To achieve the kind of life you want you must; Think, Act, Talk, and Conduct yourself in all of your affairs as would the person you wish to become.
