Your hearts desire

You ever wanted something so much you just didn't know to go about getting it? That new car; a new home a new job, how about a new city to live in. Your hearts desire how does one go about getting what you long for?

Have you taken all the steps necessary to get what you desire? We often think we have done everything we humanly could, yet we still struggle with the same question why can't we seem to get what we want?

Lets explore this for a minute, better yet lets look at it in a spiritual light. As a parent we want our children to learn a lesson. If they wanted a car they were expected to gain employment and save up for one, or at least for a down payment.

God is no different he want's us to learn to work and save up. Confused hang in there you won't be for long, you see if God were to give us everything we desired what would we have learned?

Like all good parents God has our best interest at heart, he wants to bless us there is no doubt about that. We have to be willing to make an effort. We have to be willing to take every step necessary to do our share.

God is more than willing to meet us half way, he just wants us to take steps to help our own cause. He could easily give us every thing we wished for. Lets face it we are not Aladdin and God is not in a lamp we can't just rub the lamp and wish we had it all.

We can't sit back wishing and dreaming, we have to work at it by taking steps toward our dreams. Put out those resumes to get that job you want. Do your home work I know you hated it when you were a kid and now I say do your home work. Learn every thing you can about the company you want to work for.

You have heard that saying God helps those that help themselves. What it really is saying simply that God will work with you he will not do it all. We have to do our share we have to be willing to take God's hand and walk with him.

God is willing to take our hands and lead us, as he opens doors for us. We have to have the strength and faith to be willing to let go and walk through the opened doors. Again you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. The same principles apply here.

We can have our hearts desire after we have put forth the effort, doing all that we can. God will do the rest he never lets us carry it all alone. Take my yoke upon you, simply means work with me and I will work with you.

Making every effort possible to insure you have covered all your bases, this way when you go to God in prayer you can do so with clean hands and a pure heart. Knowing you have done all that was humanly possible.

God does want to bless us with our hearts desire,he just needs us to do our part. Taking those steps that are necessary to get us to that good place.

Take an spiritual inventory, ask your self have I done enough to help my cause? Have I over looked something? Is there anything else I can or could have done? Have I been faithful to the covenants that I have made with God? Am I reading my scriptures daily saying my prayers; paying an honest tithe?

By doing a spiritual inventory will a sure you, that you have not over looked anything big or small, every step you take will undoubtedly bring you closer to your hearts desire. God does want to bless us, we just need to do our part, lets help God help us.
