From “The Walking Dead” and the films of George Romero to just about every other facet of popular culture, there's no escaping the allure of zombies. Sure, the likelihood of an actual zombie apocalypse is minimal at best, but it doesn't mean you cannot use these brain-eating, undead hordes as a fun motivation to workout. So instead of counting your rations or building a bunker, prepare for the zombie apocalypse by getting in the best shape possible. After all, what good are those stockpiled rations if you cannot overpower or outrun your infected neighbors? Start Running Once zombies start showing up on your block, chances are you'll spend a good chunk of time running for your life. Why not prepare for all those near misses and escapes by training like a professional runner? Ideally, you should be able to complete a clean 400-meter dash in around 90 seconds. If you're way off, use this number as a goal. Endurance is another consideration, but luckily for you zombies are notoriously slow. Instead of training for a marathon, start power-walking three to five days a week. Shoot for a goal of walking four miles within an hour. It might take several months, but eventually you'll have enough strength and endurance to outrun the speediest zombie hordes. Practice With Your Friends Watch any modern-day zombie film and you'll begin to notice a particular theme: No character can expect to survive a massive invasion of undead brain eaters without his or her friends. Why not take inspiration from popular culture and begin a zombie-preparedness fitness club? Power-walking and sprinting with your friends is one aspect, but there are many other skills everyone must hone in order to survive. For instance, consider creating a simulation obstacle course. Split up your friends into two groups: survivors and zombies. Set up an obstacle course and ask the survivors to make it through while being attacked by a group of zombies. Obstacle courses are not only a great way to prep for the apocalypse, they're also a fun activity to kill an afternoon. Wield Heavy Weapons A zombie slayer is only as good as the weapons in his arsenal. Your first instinct might be to reach for a semi-automatic weapon and ammo, but that is a classic mistake. Melee weapons such as sledge hammers, spears and baseball bats are the most effective tools available to survive a pack of zombies. On top of this, nothing is better to build your biceps and triceps like pounding a few dozen watermelons flat with a 20-pound sledgehammer. Getting into the best shape possible is the most effective way to make it through a zombie invasion, but unfortunately traditional workouts won't always provide you with the results you're after. Attain a physique that would intimidate any zombie by using safe, effective and legal winstrol.
